Leverage The Power of Your Blog With Syndication
Now that you have a well-written blog, with postings added at least weekly, the question is how to make it work even harder. The answer is to syndicate the content.
Syndication made simple
Syndication is nothing more than publishing content in more than one place at the same time. Long used in the newspaper business, syndication is a tool that can help you increase visibility and credibility, boost traffic to your site and improve your page ranking. One way to syndicate your content is to do a slight rewrite and post it on social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and Tumblr, which will expand the reach of your blog to members of these networks.
Other people’s content
Another technique is to syndicate and credit the work of others – valuable information from credible sources that may be helpful to your patients. In addition, it’s likely that the authors will return the favor and post your content on their site. The key is to choose other people’s content that is pertinent, with tips that are easy to implement and align you with the experts.
Duplicate content
Google will flag content that is duplicated word for word on other sites if they believe there is malicious intent – if, for example, it’s an obvious ploy to manipulate rankings. So when syndicating your content on other sites, minimize repetition, include a link back to the original article, and use Google's Webmasters tools to indicate how you want to be indexed.
