Let's Troubleshoot Your EHR Frustrations: #KareoChat Recap

EHR implementation can be an intimidating task! So we called on healthcare consultant Maxwell Stroud to lead our recent #KareoChat and help troubleshoot common EHR frustrations. In order for medical providers and software vendors to keep innovating and improving on solutions, we recognize that there needs to be continued discussion about EHR implementation and ways to improve it. During this #KareoChat, we sought to ease our participants' woes by crowd-sourcing solutions and best practices.

Max Stroud is a lead consultant with Galen Healthcare Solutions and founder of Doyenne Connections. She’s a thought leader in HealthIT who is continually thinking about leveraging technology in order to empower extraordinary patient care. Her sweet spot is working with teams to marry tools with internal processes to improve care delivery. You can reach Max on Twitter @MMaxwellStroud.

#KareoChat participants discussed EHR pain points, strategies address those, and general frustrations and solutions related to EHR implementation. Chat questions included: How frequently do users see work in the EHR as something separate from patient care? How do we reduce the tension between EHR use and patient care?

Here’s the recap! And as always, join us every Thursday at 9 a.m. Pacific time @GoKareo #KareoChat to talk about critical topics facing independent practices and the patients they serve.
